Claimant: Riana Pai
Representing: Pikaahu hapu
Concerning: The loss of lands, forests, and resources in the rohe of Pikaahu hapu. It is claimed that the hapu has been, and continues to be, prejudicially affected by legislation, and by policies and actions of the Crown, which constitute a breach of the Treaty of Waitangi. It would appear that the issues raised in this claim, or some of them, are ones that the Tribunal has reported on in the Muriwhenua Land Report 1997. The claimant is seeking a variety of relief including an apology by the Crown, compensation, and the return of all memorialised land and Crown forest land within the rohe of Pikaahu hapu.
